Forrest Naranjo Intricate Santa Clara pot

Forrest Naranjo comes from a family of notable Santa Clara potters. He is the son of Tito and Bernice Naranjo and the grandson of Rose Naranjo. He is known for the highly polished surfaces of his pots that can be as shiny as a mirror. He uses traditional pottery-making techniques while incorporating contemporary, densely packed carved designs, often involving combinations of different animal figures. His many awards in exhibitions and his wide exposure at galleries testify to his immense talent and he is a favorite with collectors. . The pot is signed by Forrest.

This vase measures 5 1/2 inches in height and 3 inches in diameter and is in mint condition. It is decorated with sgrafitto designs showing horses intertwined over the surface of the pot.
