INDIVIDUAL JEMEZ POTTERY

Watermelon Clown Kathleen Wall Jemez Pottery

Still in her mid thirties, born September 29, 1972, Kathleen Wall is an award-winning potter whose creations of clay figurines, such as clowns and dancers, and of clay masks have made her world famous. They have also brought her a number of awards in prestigious competitions such as the Santa Fe Indian Market, the New Mexico State Fair and many others. Kathleen's clowns and Indian women dancers are among the most collectable pieces in pueblo pottery.

The Clown who is feasting on a watermelon is one of Kathleen's most attractive figures. The pottery stands a full 12 1/2 inches tall by 6 inches wide and 6 inched deep.
