Wilma Gachupin Jemez Storyteller Pottery

Wilma Gachupin was born in Jemez July 30, 1957, the daughter of Lawrence Sando and J. Gonzalez. She is the sister of renowned Jemez storyteller creator Kenny Sando (d.) who taught her the art of making storyteller pottery. Wilma has been making storytellers since about 1985 and has won a number of awards in pottery competitions throughout the southwest.

The present offering is a beautiful, very expressive storyteller singing to ten children that measures 8 1/2 inches tall by 5 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches deep.
