Stunning Parrot Olla:Marie Juanico Acoma pottery

This is a beautiful, perfectly made olla decorated with the famous Acoma Parrot and intricate geometric designs both on and around the parrot figure. It is made by master potter Marie S. Juanico. Marie is an acknowledged premier potter from Acoma whose work represents the epitome of craftsmanship. For this reason she is highly valued by collectors. The present work is painted in a bold and shiny slip, and the parrot and other designs have no rubbing or other defects. The body and tail feathers of the parrot have very intricate and elaborate internal designs that make this pot very special. And it is signed by Marie.

The pot is a very large piece measuring 9 inches tall by 11 inches wide.
