Pedro Lovato Micaceous Zuni Pottery Bowl

This is a pottery bowl made of micaceous clay by Pedro Lovato from the Zuni Pueblo, and measuring 13 3/4 inches in diameter by 4 1/2 inches tall. Pedro was born on June 20, 1958 and is the grandson of Santana. He has been active in the making of pottery since about 1993.

This is a striking piece of pottery decorated with a large bird at the inside surface along with rosette-like element and other geometrics. The pot is especially well made and very impressive up close.
