Bernice Naranjo Mountain Scene Santa Clara Pottery

Bernice Naranjo is the famous mother of famed Santa Clara potters Dusty Naranjo and Forrest Naranjo and a look at her work sees where the children get their talent. The pot is magnificently polished and the sgraffito work on it is simply superb. It is also elaborately and precisely incised. It shows images of mountains and general landscapes in various times of the day, from morning to evening. This effect is produced by the varying shading of the pot that varies from light to dark around its surface..

The measures 4 inches tall by 4 inches wide and is in mint condition without defects of any kind and bears the characteristic signature of Bernice a circle with two lines and a dot.
