INDIVIDUAL POTTERY From OTHER PUEBLOS

Wesley Begaye Acoma/Navajo Pueblo Spirit Pottery

This is a beautiful stunning piece of pottery made by Wesley Begaye, a Navajo who makes some of the most striking pottery decorated in the style of Acoma.

This distinct piece features Westly's trademark colors and unique design. "Pueblo Blessings" is painted with an adobe in the background and a beautifully detailed pot in the forefront. The white band coming from the inside of the painted pot is the breath or spirit of the pot. A band of flute players follows each other around the top from one side of the adobe to the other. The rim has a small step cut area at the back and the bottom is finished in large traditional patterns including checker, lightning, fineline and steps. The pot is signed by Wesley.

The pot is fairly large measuring 9 inches tall by 7.5 inches wide.
