Spectacular Vangie Tafoya Sgraffito Jemez Pottery
This is a truly magnificent very beautiful bowl hand-made and hand decorated by Vangie Tafoya from the Jemez pueblo. It measures 7 1/2 inches high and 5 1/2 inches in diameter. It is decorated by a gorgeous rendition of a bear paw surrounded with feather symbols, smaller bear paws, kiva steps and other geometrics. It is topped by a lid in the shape of a bear. The mica gives it a beautiful sparkling aura. And is signed by Vangie.
Vangie Tafoya is a premier potter from the Jemez pueblo who has won her share of awards in Santa Fe Indian Market and the New Mexico state fair, including Best of Show awards.
