Joe Chavarria Black Avanyu Santa Clara Pot Joe Chavarria is the son of master potter Vickie Martinez and only in his early twenties. Yet, his talent is evidnt in the pottery he produces and he is a favorite with collectors already. This pot shown here is decorated with a single avanyu done in most impressive carving and polishing manner. This black pot is a companion piece to the red one showing also an Avanyu that I have listed at the present time. Please check them out. The pot measures 8 inches tall by 8 inches wide.
