INDIVIDUAL MATA ORTIZ POTTERY
-
Leonel Quezada Mata Ortiz Masterwork
Leonel Quezada is the son of master potter Nicholas Quezada who has taught his son exceedingly well. Leonel is now recognized as a master potter in his own right and his creations are as well sought after as those of his father. A close scrutiny of the present offering reveals the hand of the master. The pot is decorated with sweeping bands etched out over a bluish speckled surface. It is great and very impressive piece at a full 10 inches tall by 9 1/2 inches wide.
